Being a member at CPM is not simply just joining a church. You actually become a part of a church family who share and serve together. We are firm believers that where you are is just as important as who you are. Connecting with the CPM family will provide encouragement and support to those who connect to this ministry.
If you are already a member, we recommend that you pray about ways you can become a great asset to the ministry with your gifts. There are avenues for you to stay connected with events or join a ministry and volunteer. We encourage you to take the New Member’s classes and also get connected to the family of God.
If you desire to become a member, we encourage you to attend one of our weekly services. We will extend our hand of fellowship to you and then you can become connected. Next you should attend the New Members’ Classes to become acquainted with the history, mission and the culture of CPM.
Baby Dedication is a commitment that parents make to do their part in raising their child before the Lord and to ask for God’s blessing upon the child. If you are interested in dedicating your child, please fill out the form for the next dedication ceremony.
Baptism is an important step of obedience for everyone who has accepted Christ as his or her Savior. It is a public declaration that you have accepted Jesus and are turning your back on the old life of sin and are now trusting Jesus to live a new life as a believer. We want to help celebrate your new life that you’ve discovered in Him!
I. Who should be baptized?
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when a person places his or her faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his/her sin. Baptism in water is the next step of obedience after being born again.
II. What does a Water Baptism symbolize?
• You have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
• You are sharing in His death and resurrection, illustrated by going under the water (dead to your old life), then rising again (new life).
• You’ve been symbolically washed clean and your sins have been forgiven by His death on the cross.
• Because Jesus instructed us to be baptized, baptism is an act of obedience. While it is not necessary for salvation, it demonstrates submission to God. Immersion is the model Jesus used in Scripture, therefore, that’s the way we celebrate baptism here at Christian Provision Ministries.
